Day 1: Chandigarh to Shimla

Arrive at Chandigarh railway station/airport and enjoy a scenic 4-hour drive to Shimla. Check in and unwind with a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Shimla local Sightseeing

Discover Shimla’s highlights, including Kufri, Viceregal Lodge, Christ Church, Gaiety Theatre, Scandal Point, Grindlays Bank, and the bustling Mall Road.

Kufri (16 km from Shimla) – Known for its serene beauty and adventure, with the Himalayan Nature Park and pony/yak rides offering views of snow-capped peaks.

Viceregal Lodge (1887) – Also called Rashtrapati Niwas, once the summer residence of the British Viceroy.

Christ Church (1857) – Iconic landmark on the Ridge with neo-Gothic design and stained-glass windows symbolizing faith, hope, charity, fortitude, and patience.

Gaiety Theatre (1887) – Historic Victorian theatre, once a hub for elite gatherings and where the world’s first beauty contest was planned.

Day 3: Shimla to Manali

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin an 8-hour, 265 km journey to Manali. En route, explore Sunder Nagar, Pandoh Dam, and the picturesque Kullu Valley. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Manali local Sightseeing 

After breakfast, explore the beautiful sights in and around Manali, including Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple (By Walk), Vashisht Bath, and Van Vihar. (Optional trek or walk to Jogini Falls.) In the evening, enjoy shopping at the local market. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Hadimba Devi Temple (1553) – Set amidst deodar forests, this wooden temple is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of Bhima. Its unique design and peaceful surroundings make it a spiritual highlight.

Manu Temple (Old Manali) – One of the few temples dedicated to Sage Manu, reached by a short uphill walk through village lanes, offering local charm.

Vashisht Bath – Natural hot springs with healing properties, separate bathing enclosures, and nearby temples in a serene setting.

Jogini Waterfall – A scenic trek from Vashisht, through orchards and pine forests, leads to this cascading waterfall, a delight for nature and photography lovers.

Day 5: Manali 

After breakfast, visit Solang Valley and drive through the Atal Tunnel to the North Pole area. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Explore the adventure haven of Solang Valley, located just a short drive from Manali at around 8,400 feet above sea level. This beautiful spot is perfect for both thrill-seekers and nature lovers. Then, journey through the Atal Tunnel — the world’s longest single-tube highway tunnel above 10,000 feet — which connects Manali to the scenic Lahaul region.

OR (Excursion to Rohatang Pass, an additional cost)

Note: Rohtang Pass, situated at 3,979 meters and known as the gateway to the Lahaul-Spiti valley, offers stunning mountain views and snowy landscapes, but remains closed from November to May due to heavy snowfall and is also closed on Tuesdays. An excursion to Rohtang Pass is available at an additional cost during the open months.

Day 6: Manali to Kasol

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Kasol. En route, visit Kullu and the Vaishno Devi Temple. Later in the evening, explore Manikaran Sahib and Kasol Market. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Kasol – A laid-back hamlet in Parvati Valley, 30 km from Bhuntar and 36 km from Kullu, famous for its riverside beauty, vibrant café culture, and popularity among backpackers.

Manikaran – A revered pilgrimage for Hindus and Sikhs, known for its hot springs, ancient temples, and Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. It holds deep spiritual significance as the place where Manu is believed to have recreated human life.

Kullu – The “Valley of Gods,” set along the Beas River, surrounded by hills, orchards, and pine forests. A hub for rafting, paragliding, trekking, and renowned for its grand Dussehra festival.

Vaishno Devi Temple (Kullu) – A hilltop shrine dedicated to Goddess Vaishno Devi, offering serene surroundings and scenic Himalayan views, popular with devotees on the Kullu–Manali route.

Day 7: Kasol to Chandigarh

After breakfast, check out from the camps and transfer to the railway station or airport for your onward journey. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and begin your journey to Chandigarh. Enjoy a comfortable drive through the scenic route as you head towards the city. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station for your onward travel. This marks the end of your memorable Himachal trip.
